Handmade tile should not be confused with typical, factory made tiles. Mass production tile factories compress dust into steel dies, yielding perfectly formed, mechanically identical products. That process delivers efficiency, but at the cost of eliminating the tranquil charm resulting from an artisan’s touch. While systems could be implemented to increase our production efficiency, the result would reduce the visual quality of our tile. We choose to mark success not in volume, but in the character and quality of each tile fabricated.
